IT Software Asset Management Analyst

Location: United States — Remote

Salary: $95,200–$140,000 USD annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise SaaS and AI software assets, from procurement and provisioning through renewals, optimization, and retirement.
• Administer software licensing, access groups, entitlements, and renewal records across multiple platforms and vendors.
• Analyze license utilization, reconcile purchased and consumed licenses, and identify compliance, savings, and standardization opportunities.
• Use Okta, ConductorOne, and related identity governance tools to manage software access.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Security, IT, and business stakeholders on renewals, contracts, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Develop inventory, utilization, renewal, and savings dashboards, and support software consolidation during acquisitions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management, with a focus on finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS licensing models and agreements, including Microsoft, Adobe, GitHub, AI tools, and SaaS providers.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Google Suite, Okta, or related tools.

Nice to have

• Experience managing AI software platforms and AI-related licensing models.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Zylo, Torii, Flexera, or similar SAM/ITAM tools.
• Understanding of software compliance and audit management practices.
• ITIL, CSAM, or related certifications.
