Diffusion / Epitaxy Equipment Technician

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment, including ASM E2000 CVD and epitaxial reactors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and eliminate recurring tool failures.
• Monitor and interpret tool performance data to improve system performance and reliability.
• Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment operation.
• Partner with engineers on equipment improvement projects and communicate status across shifts.

Requirements

• Direct experience with ASM E2000 equipment and preferably 4–6 or more years of wafer-fab experience focused on diffusion equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills, including the ability to use schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical qualification through an associate degree, technical certification, relevant technical coursework, military technical school, or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, collaborate across teams, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom and stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift while wearing required PPE.

Nice to have

• Experience as an MST or Equipment Technician in a 200mm/300mm high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree in electronics.
• Basic project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
