Manufacturing Technician (Spector) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Somerset, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $45,460–$57,582 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and process instructions to assemble complex systems and subassemblies.
• Prepare inventory, assemble components, connect cables, tubing, and wiring, and complete final equipment assembly.
• Inspect, measure, test, and adjust units against specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, cranes, robotics, and fixed automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot operating errors, identify corrective actions, and collaborate with Engineering throughout the build process.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, basic repairs, and quality or performance checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.
• Ability to use MS Word and Excel and familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong communication, logical reasoning, hand–eye coordination, fine motor control, and precise tool-handling skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work overtime.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-vacuum semiconductor hardware and manufacturing practices.
• Experience with high-voltage and high-power systems and related safety practices.
• Cleanroom experience.
