What you will do

  • Manage staff and systems supporting ambulance service performance in the Hillsborough administrative area.
  • Share responsibility for on-call coverage across required regions and provide backup ambulance coverage during emergencies.
  • Prioritize customer and patient service and develop processes for resolving patient and customer issues.
  • Manage employee and labour issues, mediate conflicts, and promote compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead recruitment and selection for site paramedic staff and develop effective, capable teams.
  • Support corporate strategic goals and implement changes that improve service levels.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved paramedic training program and current registration as a paramedic in New Brunswick or equivalent.
  • At least five years of paramedic experience, including at least three years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
  • Experience in EMS management, information technology, finance, and human resources.
  • Valid Class 4 driver's licence in New Brunswick or equivalent.
  • Leadership, staff development, independent judgment, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and dispute-resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of standard business software, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • Post-secondary education in business administration.
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
