Director, Provider Performance

Location: Fully remote, but must be located in North Jersey or New York. Approximately 10% travel to assigned markets is required.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define and lead provider performance strategy across New York City, setting targets for cost, quality, and access.
• Build executive relationships with health systems, physician groups, and strategic provider partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop Network Performance Managers and Senior Network Performance Managers.
• Use advanced analytics and AI-driven prompts to identify risks, trends, and performance opportunities.
• Oversee provider contracting, value-based arrangements, financial performance, governance, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with Clinical, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Actuarial leadership on enterprise strategy and market expansion.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in provider performance, network management, or provider contracting.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing teams.
• Proven success improving provider performance across cost and quality metrics.
• Experience with health systems, physician groups, complex provider organizations, payer economics, provider incentives, and market dynamics.
• Advanced analytical, strategic, negotiation, executive communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience with Medicare Advantage or government-sponsored healthcare programs.
• Knowledge of CMS STAR measures and value-based care models.
• Experience leading multi-market or regional provider performance strategies.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, MPH, or related qualification.
• Background in clinical operations, population health, or healthcare delivery.
