Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (Rare Diseases)

Location: Fully remote within the designated Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas territories; frequent domestic and international travel of up to 60–80% is required.

Salary: $187,000–$244,000 annual

What you will do

• Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, researchers, and other medical experts.
• Conduct scientific exchanges and present product, disease-state, and research data across rare, pulmonary/respiratory, and infectious diseases.
• Identify and engage medical experts, consultants, investigators, and healthcare organizations in the assigned territories.
• Implement advisory boards and scientific forums, gathering and synthesizing healthcare professional insights for Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and R&D.
• Support clinical development activities, including trial site identification, recruitment motivation, and issue resolution.
• Deliver medical and scientific training to internal colleagues and support appropriate patient access to hirify.global medications.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP/PA.
• At least 5 years of relevant field medical experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience with rare/orphan, pulmonary/respiratory, or infectious diseases; pharmaceutical, clinical management, medical information, or clinical research experience is valuable.
• Must reside in the designated Kansas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas region.
• Strong scientific communication, presentation, interpersonal, relationship-building, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, healthcare policy, PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, HIPAA, promotional regulations, and applicable laws.
