Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (Oncology)

Location: Remote within the United States, with preferred residence in CO, IA, KS, MN, MT, ND, NE, OK, SD, TX, UT, or WY. Travel up to 50% is required.

Salary: $220,000–$250,000 annually when performed from Colorado; compensation may vary for California, Illinois, and New York.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for disseminating scientific information and product data.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and other scientific stakeholders.
• Oversee scientific presentations, publications, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with clinical development, marketing, and sales on product launches and related initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence, and scientific advances while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP in oncology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of Medical Science Liaison or relevant medical experience, or at least 2 years of relevant industry management or leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in oncology, including solid tumor oncology, molecular biology, and the healthcare landscape.
• Working knowledge of genomic laboratory-developed testing, CLIA-88, and CAP guidelines.
• Working knowledge of FDA IVD regulations and the Sunshine Act.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in precision medicine or personalized healthcare.
• Familiarity with healthcare data analytics and artificial intelligence.
• Prior people management experience.
