Legal Engagement Manager (AI)

Location: NYC office, on-site; candidates must be based in NYC or willing to relocate.

Salary: $110K–$150K base annually, plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Lead client-facing implementation engagements from planning through successful delivery.
• Manage timelines, quality, client communications, open requests, escalations, and portfolio health across concurrent workstreams.
• Build workflows, templates, and tracking systems that allow the implementation team to scale.
• Translate complex client needs into specific, prioritized, and actionable technical requirements for the Applied Legal Research team.
• Prepare and run business reviews, demonstrate delivered value, document ROI, and support expansion discussions.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior legal executives and enterprise clients.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in project management, client engagement, or operations within enterprise software, professional services, or a similarly complex service environment.
• Experience managing a complex, multi-stakeholder project end to end when the initial path was unclear.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent client workstreams under competing priorities while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
• Strong executive-level communication skills, including leading stakeholder meetings and producing concise status updates.
• Based in NYC or willing to relocate to NYC.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage company where operational processes had to be built from scratch.
• Familiarity with law firm hierarchies, workflows, practice groups, and senior-attorney priorities.
