Claims Specialist II (Commercial Property Insurance)

Salary: CAD 70,000–85,000 annually

What you will do

• Examine and adjust medium-severity commercial property claims.
• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and resolve assigned claims efficiently while delivering customer-centric service.
• Verify coverage through detailed policy analysis.
• Develop claim strategies and evaluations, resolve claims promptly, and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Establish and maintain claim reserves proactively and on time.
• Manage internal and external enquiries and oversee independent adjusters and legal counsel within approved budgets and protocols.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Ideally, one to three years of claims adjustment experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex facts, analysis, and recommendations concisely.
• Ability to work effectively in a small Canadian Claims team and a multinational environment.
• Commercial property claims experience is an asset.

• Bilingual French and English communication skills.
