Software Development Manager (JavaScript)

Location: Onsite in Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Company

Commercial truck diagnostic software, hardware, and laptop kits covering diesel engines, transmissions, ABS systems, and related vehicle components.

What you will do

• Manage the software development group and coordinate activities across multiple projects.
• Set project goals, track timelines, monitor task completion, and maintain delivery progress.
• Provide technical guidance, support team productivity, and represent the software department in meetings.
• Analyze software requirements, participate in design control, implement design plans, and review unit tests.
• Monitor software development status and provide technical support to other company personnel.
• Manage the development support ticketing system and communicate issue status in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Four years of software development experience and previous leadership experience.
• Knowledge of software development, mobile programming languages, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience, certification, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Ability to work onsite in Columbia, South Carolina, USA.
• Ability to work at a computer for up to eight hours per day.
