Reliability Test Engineer, DoorDash Air (Robotics)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $170,000–$250,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Run and monitor reliability tests at internal facilities and external test laboratories.
• Develop test methods and equipment to identify failures before unmanned platforms reach the field.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to investigate and understand test failures.
• Perform root cause analysis of laboratory and field failures and recommend design changes.
• Create novel, scalable tests for autonomous systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong experience with environmental chambers, vibration tables, water testers, data acquisition systems, and related test equipment.
• Experience designing and building testers, fixtures, test rigs, and other equipment.
• Ability to write Python scripts to automate reliability tests.
• Experience with CAD and shop tools.
• Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
