Azure DevOps Engineer / Terraform (Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code for Azure resources in the Summit platform environment.
• Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls, automated testing, plan/apply gates, and secret management.
• Develop scalable, reusable Terraform modules aligned with VA cloud standards and governance requirements.
• Apply FedRAMP, NIST, and VA compliance requirements through policy-as-code guardrails and security assessments.
• Review infrastructure code, identify vulnerabilities, troubleshoot on-premises systems, and manage system components.
• Optimize customer solutions and collaborate with platform stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 15 years of experience.
• At least 8 years of experience with Azure-native services.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, and Terraform Cloud or Azure backends.
• Hands-on experience integrating Terraform workflows into Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CySA+, or Kubernetes certifications such as KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
• Experience in healthcare, finance, government, or technology environments.
• Experience improving workflows, engaging stakeholders, documenting systems, or supporting access provisioning and onboarding processes.
