What you will do

• Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, reusable infrastructure modules, and developer experience tooling.
• Develop application deployment and testing pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
• Integrate security, quality, static analysis, and vulnerability controls into CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, application teams, stakeholders, and government partners to meet delivery, SLA, security, and performance requirements.
• Participate in business-hours support rotation and after-hours on-call responsibilities while mentoring and guiding teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS and proficiency with Terraform or a comparable infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Working proficiency with Kubernetes, including deployment, troubleshooting, and container workload management.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; comfort with Linux, shell scripting, systemd, networking, and package management.
• Knowledge of containerization, virtualization, networking, load balancing, and reverse proxies.
• U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship and the ability to complete required government background investigations.

Nice to have

• Terragrunt, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, GitOps, HAProxy, OpenResty, NGINX, Envoy, or Kong experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Bash, Python, or another scripting or programming language.
• Experience with SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, federal IT compliance frameworks, internal developer platforms, or observability tools such as Datadog and CloudWatch.
