Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Must be based in Washington, D.C.; Hybrid role requiring on-site presence 4 days per week.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates for infrastructure as code.
• Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Implement security practices aligned with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Automate cloud operations and system configurations using PowerShell and Bash.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract and security clearance.
• Active Secret-level security clearance or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD or federal agency cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Azure serverless tools (Functions, Logic Apps).
• Background in FinOps and Azure cost management.
