Corporate Attorney – Intellectual Property & Employment Law (Cybersecurity)

hirify.global develops enterprise cybersecurity software for protecting servers and endpoints through application allowlisting, ringfencing, storage control, elevation control, endpoint network control, configuration management, and operational alert solutions.

What you will do

• Advise leadership, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams on patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, software, licensing, and proprietary technology.
• Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications, respond to Office Actions, conduct examiner interviews, and support prosecution strategy.
• Perform prior art searches, patentability analyses, freedom-to-operate assessments, claim charting, and infringement-related analyses.
• Manage trademark clearance, filings, registrations, renewals, enforcement, and the global IP portfolio.
• Advise Human Resources and leadership on hiring, employee relations, performance management, accommodations, leave, compensation, classification, discipline, and terminations.
• Support investigations, employee claims, agency charges, disputes, litigation, policies, agreements, and coordination with outside counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience with meaningful experience in both intellectual property and employment law.
• Experience advising on trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, patent litigation support, and employment matters.
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and provide clear, practical advice in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• USPTO registration.
• Experience with technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or software companies.
• Experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios.
• Familiarity with privacy, data protection, commercial contracting, workplace investigations, and outside counsel management.
