Software Engineer III (Aerospace)

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $164,652.00–$230,512.80 per year.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop software systems and infrastructure using Java, Python, Spring, and AWS services.
• Build rich web interfaces with Angular and React.
• Integrate and extend commercial products through GraphQL, REST services, and message queues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across vehicle development, testing, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and mission operations.
• Diagnose and resolve installation, deployment, configuration, server-side, and client-side issues.
• Lead design and code reviews, set technical direction, and mentor software engineers.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant full-stack software development and production deployment experience.
• Experience with both typed and untyped programming languages, such as Java or C and JavaScript.
• Experience designing scalable systems and driving technical decisions across teams.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to write efficient, working code despite incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with on-premises infrastructure, AWS, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience mentoring engineers and conducting design and code reviews.
• Experience using AI-powered tools for software design, code generation, and review.
