Catering Manager (Food Service)

Location: Belleville, Ontario, Canada; onsite catering operations.

Salary: CAD 20–23 per hour.

What you will do

• Plan menus, recipes, schedules, logistics, setup, delivery, and removal for catering events.
• Manage client requests, event budgets, billing, collections, supplier coordination, and discrepancy resolution.
• Lead, schedule, hire, train, and coach catering staff, including temporary personnel.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, equipment-use, and workplace safety procedures.
• Control food, labor, logistics, and operating costs while minimizing waste.
• Support special projects, website updates, business growth initiatives, inventory, ordering, and other unit operations.

Requirements

• Five years of recent related food service experience leading high-volume catering teams, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certification and thorough knowledge of food preparation and service health and safety regulations.
• Superior verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate in French as appropriate.
• Strong organization, accuracy, multitasking, project leadership, business forecasting, and customer service skills.
• Computer and POS proficiency, with the ability to operate catering equipment safely.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently and lift 0–10 pounds from floor to shoulder height.
