What you will do

• Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, and bench grinders.
• Machine, grind, shape, and fit metal parts (shafts, bowls, bearings, impeller rings) with high precision.
• Read, interpret, and occasionally create technical drawings.
• Measure components using micrometers, calipers, and various precision measuring instruments.
• Design new setup methods and provide training to personnel on machining techniques.
• Improve operational processes for better quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a manual machinist.
• Proven experience setting up lathes, mills, and various machining equipment.
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and interpret).
• Must be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening tests.

Nice to have

• Experience with pumps.
• Mechanical or welding experience.
• Machining or mechanical certification.
