Additive Manufacturing Technician (EDM Focus)

Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States. Schedule: 3–4 11-hour rotating shifts, with an available Sunday–Wednesday first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates must be legally able to access information and technology subject to US export controls and must be eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation: $27–$50 per hour, depending on level: $27–$37 for AM Technician I, $31–$43 for AM Technician II, and $36–$50 for AM Technician III.

What you will do

• Operate fast-wire EDM equipment and other additive manufacturing post-processing machines.
• Produce precision components that meet engineering, quality, customer, and production requirements.
• Maintain FOD-free, safe, and efficient operations throughout the manufacturing workflow.
• Monitor equipment and processes, resolve operational issues, and help continuously improve production.
• Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and management to meet operational goals.
• Support and mentor peers while adapting to shifting production priorities.

Requirements

• Experience operating fast-wire EDM equipment in an additive manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of multimeters, electrical power, and pneumatic air systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and hand-eye coordination.
• Clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, professionalism, and safety awareness.
• Ability to use MaintainX and lift or move more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to lawfully access US export-controlled information and technology and work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Complete knowledge of HB1200 fast-wire EDM operation.
• Two or more years of additive manufacturing or manufacturing experience.
• Experience in aerospace or automotive additive manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, Manufacturo, Safety Culture, CNC, CMM, robotics, lasers, EDMs, or other highly technical equipment.
