Manufacturing Engineering Technician

What you will do

• Define part-processing methods for machined components that meet engineering drawings.
• Create and prove out CNC programs for milling, turning, 5-axis mill/turn, grinding, and EDM equipment.
• Perform hands-on machining, machine setup, programming, tooling selection, and low-volume pilot production.
• Develop tooling, gaging, work-holding, fixturing, manufacturing instructions, setup folders, and routing sheets.
• Improve machining processes to reduce cost, improve quality, shorten lead times, and eliminate non-value-added work.
• Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and advanced manufacturing specialists to resolve problems and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of CNC machine experience, including machine setup and program editing.
• Hands-on machining experience and knowledge of part processing across multiple machining processes.
• Ability to create new CNC programs for multi-axis machine tools.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions or training in English.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, California.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping of machined parts.
• Knowledge of Lean tools and value-stream process improvement.
