What you will do

• Manage actuarial staff, including hiring, coaching, performance management, development, and productivity oversight.
• Lead preparation of rate filings for large group, small group, direct pay, and senior products.
• Partner with Underwriting and Rating, Sales, and Product Management and Development on compliant rating strategies.
• Provide advanced support for claim reserves and risk management related to new product pricing.
• Analyze premium trends, identify shifts across products and regions, and recommend pricing actions.
• Develop and implement actuarial policies, programs, and operational practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• At least 8 years of experience in an actuarial role.
• At least 5 years of management experience or experience leading teams or projects of varying size and complexity.
• ASA or ACAS designation and pursuit of FSA or FCAS designation through the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society.
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Strong supervisory, communication, organizational, and project management skills, with extensive knowledge of actuarial methods and procedures.

Nice to have

• At least 10 years of actuarial experience.
• FSA or FCAS fellowship designation.
• In-depth knowledge of premium rate calculations, required reserves, plan design, trend analysis, rate table construction, actuarial research, or systems development.
