Actuary (Value-Based Care)

TL;DR

Actuary (Value-Based Care) (Analytics/Forecasting): Analyzing and forecasting financial, economic, and healthcare data while developing actuarial models for complex value-based care arrangements with an accent on contracting, performance expectations, data integrity, and strategic decision support. Focus on designing forecasting scenarios, investigating data anomalies, and translating technical actuarial insights into effective business strategies.

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, market, and healthcare data for strategic and operational decisions.
• Support the design, implementation, contracting, and management of complex value-based care initiatives.
• Develop actuarial models and forecasting scenarios for value-based care performance expectations.
• Establish metrics, perform data analysis, and provide business intelligence support.
• Develop data-flow controls, investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement cost-effective resolutions.
• Advise leaders on segment-specific strategies and communicate technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• FSA or ASA, plus a relevant advanced degree, recent relevant experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• MAAA designation.
• Experience across more than two actuarial functions, such as modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting and analysis, reserving, or trending.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and maintain a dedicated workspace that protects PHI/HIPAA information.
