Managing Consultant (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: Baltimore, MD, United States; candidates in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area are preferred.

Salary: $140,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Mine, synthesize, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Generate visualizations using Tableau and other analytical software.
• Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and streamlined analytical processes.
• Conduct research using literature, industry resources, and client, public, and commercial databases.
• Prepare statistical, financial, and other forms of analysis while auditing work for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with consultants and contribute recommendations that meet client deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of prior work experience; healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• SAS and Microsoft Excel are required.
• Strong analytical, research, report-writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Must provide verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, R, or similar analytical software experience.
• Knowledge of database theory and design.
• Knowledge of CMS quality measure methodology, including CMS Star Ratings and hospital value-based purchasing and readmission programs.
