Managing Consultant - Quality Methodology & Analytics - IHS

Location: Hybrid, with a strong preference for candidates based in the Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD offices; Chicago, IL candidates may be considered case by case. Candidates must verify legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year; title and compensation depend on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Mine, synthesize, and analyze large datasets; identify trends, communicate findings, and recommend solutions.
• Generate visualizations using Tableau and other analytical software.
• Develop and maintain electronic databases and spreadsheets, and streamline processes.
• Research and analyze literature and data from public, specialized industry, client, and commercial sources.
• Develop solutions using analytical methods, software tools, and computer models; audit personal and team work products for quality.
• Collaborate with teams, meet client deadlines, communicate findings, and provide recommendations in practice meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or a related subject.
• 5+ years of relevant data analytics experience required, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to independently execute complex data analytics using SAS and Microsoft Excel.
• Commitment to high-quality analysis, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative team orientation with prior experience managing and supervising teams.
• Ability to verify legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and R.
• Knowledge of CMS quality measure methodology, including CMS Star Ratings, Hospital Value-Based Purchasing, Hospital Acquired Condition Reduction Program, and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program.
• Knowledge of database theory and design.
• Knowledge of report writing.
