Continuous Improvement / Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Plano, Texas, US, with weekly travel to manufacturing facilities across the United States

What you will do

• Lead value stream mapping events and continuous improvement initiatives across production, fabrication, and assembly cells.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies, improve WIP tracking, and design cycle count programs to increase inventory accuracy.
• Create and standardize work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation based on Lean manufacturing principles.
• Conduct time studies, line-balancing assessments, capacity evaluations, and labor utilization analyses.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability principles and participate in PFMEA activities to support process and product improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on Lean/continuous improvement experience.
• At least 3 years of engineering or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing or assembly plant setting.
• 100% willingness to travel weekly to manufacturing facilities across the US.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and root-cause corrective action tools.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, plus exposure to ERP/MRP systems.
• Resume examples must specifically demonstrate value stream mapping and cycle count or inventory control improvements with measurable outcomes.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with metal fabrication, assembly, or HVAC components.
