Staff Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems for capture services, shared platform models, event pipelines, asynchronous workers, APIs, and AI workflows.
• Lead technical execution for ambiguous, high-impact projects spanning multiple services and domains.
• Ingest and normalize communications data from enterprise platforms including Microsoft, Slack, Zoom, Google, Bloomberg, Salesforce, and hirify.global Archive.
• Contribute to LLM classification, agent workflows, investigator tooling, telemetry, evaluations, and decision-tracing capabilities.
• Debug complex customer and production issues involving data correctness, API behavior, asynchronous failures, performance, scale, and compliance-sensitive workflows.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pairing, technical writing, and architectural guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production backend or full-stack systems and owning large or ambiguous technical areas.
• Strong Python experience with typed code, data modeling, testing, and production debugging.
• Deep experience with relational databases, schema design, query performance, migrations, and data correctness.
• Experience with distributed or asynchronous systems, including queues, workers, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and failure recovery.
• Strong API integration experience, including OAuth, webhooks, pagination, throttling, vendor-specific edge cases, and long-running backfills.

Nice to have

• Postgres experience.
• Experience with LLM outputs, evaluations, embeddings, vector search, vLLM, local models, or agent workflows.
• Experience with React and TypeScript UI surfaces.
