Senior Software Engineer (AI Security)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and own features and services for the Threat Protection and ShadowAI product area.
• Build highly available, scalable distributed systems and APIs, including multithreaded and asynchronous applications.
• Develop detection and policy capabilities for generative AI and unsanctioned web application usage.
• Deploy and operate production services using dashboards, metrics, error reporting, and AI-assisted log and trace analysis.
• Write unit and automated tests, review code and designs, and evaluate technologies that can improve the products.
• Partner with product, security, operations, and other stakeholders on requirements, tradeoffs, and delivery schedules.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience with NodeJS, Go, or Python.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with cloud services such as GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience with Linux and standard development tools including Git.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical fluency with AI coding and debugging assistants, including the ability to verify LLM output for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Self-directed problem-solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems with limited guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale web applications and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of complex data structures and database technologies.
• Experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with the Tornado web framework and test automation.
• Experience with test-driven development, continuous delivery, agile practices, automation, and maintainable code, or exposure to security, threat detection, AI governance, or AI safety.
