Director of Operational Accounting

Salary: $164,900–$236,000 annually, depending on US geographic pay region.

What you will do

• Lead AP, T&E, payroll, AR, billing, and order-to-cash operations across global business activities.
• Build high-performing teams and manage third-party providers, vendors, operational SLAs, and delivery quality.
• Drive automation and integrations across ERP, payroll, billing, payment gateway, spend management, HR, and customer support systems.
• Oversee high-volume D2C, subscription, B2B, and retail transactions, including reconciliations, collections, refunds, disputes, and cash application.
• Own the operational month-end close, external audit deliverables, executive KPIs, and balance sheet accuracy.
• Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Revenue Accounting, RevOps, Commercial Finance, and Member Experience to eliminate process bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance operations experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership overseeing AP/P2P and AR/O2C functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience in fast-growing D2C e-commerce, consumer hardware, retail distribution, or SaaS/subscription businesses.
• Advanced knowledge of NetSuite, Workday, Stripe, Zuora, Recurly, Zip, Ramp, ADP, and Zendesk or comparable systems.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls, multi-state payroll regulations, credit risk, vendor compliance, and global operational accounting.
• Proven success leading system implementations, automation initiatives, and enterprise workflow redesign.
