Senior Fullstack Engineer (Platform Reliability)

Location: Remote/work at home nationwide in the USA, with a hybrid Boston, MA option and occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings.

Salary: $128,300–$176,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own uptime, performance, resilience, and scalability across NBA platform services.
• Write and ship production code as a hands-on individual contributor.
• Build automated unit, integration, load, and end-to-end testing infrastructure.
• Own logging, monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing, and observability practices.
• Design error-handling and failure-management patterns for distributed systems.
• Define quality gates, coordinate with delivery pods, and manage contractor resources.

Requirements

• Must be located in the USA; remote work is nationwide, with occasional office travel.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing, and testing software applications or infrastructure, including 4+ years of fullstack engineering experience.
• 1–2+ years focused on platform reliability, software quality, or site reliability engineering, including automated testing, observability, and failure management.
• Experience leading a small team or pod, managing contractors, and working across Java, Python, Node, and TypeScript.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Kubernetes, Kafka, event-driven architecture, chaos engineering, or fault-injection testing experience.
• Healthcare, insurance, or other regulated-industry experience.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD quality gates.
