TL;DR
PLC Engineering Team Lead (Industrial Controls): Developing and maintaining PLC controls software, HMI interfaces, and BMS integrations for large coolant distribution units and skidded direct-to-chip platforms with an accent on controls architecture, industrial communication protocols, and customer-facing engineering. Focus on designing resilient control systems, establishing shared software standards, and supporting factory acceptance testing, site commissioning, and integration with data center management platforms.

What you will do

  • Own controls software architecture across the CDU portfolio.
  • Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs for CDU and skidded platforms.
  • Design HMI screens and operator interfaces.
  • Lead BMS and data center management platform integration design.
  • Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and field commissioning.
  • Collaborate with the Hong Kong controls team on shared code libraries, standards, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of industrial PLC programming experience.
  • Expertise with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or a similar major PLC platform.
  • Strong HMI design experience with FactoryTalk, WinCC, Ignition, or an equivalent platform.
  • Deep familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and data center BMS integration patterns.
  • Ability to establish coding standards, structure reusable libraries, conduct code reviews, and mentor a PLC Engineer.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SNMP and Redfish communication protocols.
  • Experience delivering controls solutions for data center, HPC, or AI infrastructure platforms.
