Senior Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Lansing, Michigan, with full-time reporting to Lansing Stamping. Flex schedules, off-shift, and weekend support may be required. Relocation benefits may be available. Immigration-related sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Optimize workflows, labor utilization, and operation sequences across manufacturing processes.
• Lead and support waste elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data, establish shop performance metrics, and solve operational problems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, production supervisors, and shift leaders.
• Implement plant projects and initiatives, including support during off-shift and weekend operations when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial engineering experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, production problem solving, standardized work, lean manufacturing, time studies, and motion analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and support off-shift initiatives.
• Must be able to work onsite full-time in Lansing, Michigan and must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management and cross-functional initiative execution.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided drafting tools.
