Electrical Maintenance I (Industrial Electrical)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain plant-wide electrical and electronic equipment.
• Design, read, draw, and edit electrical and electronic schematics.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, control circuits, VFDs, electronic scales, metal detectors, and other industrial systems.
• Install conduit, wiring, light fixtures, and other electrical systems in accordance with the NEC.
• Diagnose and repair high- and low-voltage systems, pneumatic actuators, control boards, and computer terminals.
• Perform plant checks, maintain equipment logs, support equipment start-up and shutdown, and direct maintenance crews when assigned.

Requirements

• Two-year electrical certification or equivalent education and experience.
• At least three years of industrial electrical experience.
• Experience diagnosing high- and low-voltage circuits and repairing or overhauling industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, meggers, and circuit tracers, as well as power hand tools and conduit equipment.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing and understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and lifts, and work in demanding manufacturing conditions for shifts of up to 12 hours.
