Electrical Maintenance Technician (Industrial Electrical Systems)

What you will do

• Install, repair, maintain, and test industrial electrical equipment, wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and related components.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems, including MCC buckets and PLC ladder logic.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, and electrical-code specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, continuity and current testing, and corrective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Coordinate with operators, supervisors, engineers, manufacturers, and technical support to diagnose problems and resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory, document repair and maintenance information, and train and qualify maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Journeyman status and at least 10 years of electrical experience are required.
• At least five years of industrial-environment experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical principles, industrial control software, 480/3-phase systems, electrical codes, schematics, technical documents, and hand tools.
• Ability to run conduit, pull wire up to 500 kV or higher, perform physically demanding work, and troubleshoot systems with multiple variables.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed; regular reliable attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Trade school or training-program completion.
• Electrical apprenticeship completion certificate.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Mechanical skills and experience in industrial maintenance.
