Purchasing Buyer (Automation)

What you will do

• Process purchase lists and bills of materials in Coupa, monitor requisitions, and track orders through receipt.
• Coordinate with internal buyers, suppliers, engineering groups, corporate purchasing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage goods receipts, job-specific items, inventory, invoices, special payment requests, and vendor records.
• Coordinate trucking, transportation, deliveries, customs documentation, back orders, and supply issue resolution.
• Maintain supplier relationships and support catalog, vendor information, and purchasing data updates.
• Create reports on requisitions, spot buys, and purchase order status.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• More than 3 years of purchasing experience in an automation or machine-building shop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently within a team.
• Results-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site in Comstock Park, Michigan.
