Licensed Electrician

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and install industrial and commercial electrical systems, equipment, motors, starters, and control systems.
• Maintain electrical equipment through weekly and monthly preventive maintenance inspections and accurate records.
• Repair kitchen equipment, HVAC-related equipment, air compressors, dryers, and perform limited plumbing and general maintenance.
• Design and lay out new electrical equipment and systems, install outlets and lighting circuits, and recommend system improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex electronic and DDC control issues, including systems up to 600 VAC and controls up to 50 VDC.
• Provide emergency coverage on a rotating standby schedule and assist other tradespeople and electrician trainees.

Requirements

• Licensed electrician certification is required.
• At least five years of journeyman electrician experience or equivalent experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• High school education plus technical or vocational school training.
• Experience with UPS systems, generators, CRAC units, and server rooms.
• Ability to work safely on elevated areas, follow electrical and building codes, and complete accurate work orders and time records.
