Mechanic III (Industrial Maintenance): Maintaining and troubleshooting highly automated gummy and packaging production equipment with an accent on mechanical repair, industrial electricity, controls systems, and preventive maintenance. Focus on diagnosing complex malfunctions, completing equipment rebuilds and changeovers, designing repairs and fabrications, and improving production reliability.
Location: Onsite in Opelika, Alabama, United States. This position does not provide immigration sponsorship or support, including Form I-983 STEM OPT training plan assistance.
Salary: $63,000–$105,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and wellness benefits.

What you will do
- Set up, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and modify gummy kitchen, mogul, conditioning tunnel, CIP, and packaging equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, facilities, fabrication, and controls-related maintenance using diagnostic and machining tools.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
- Complete production run setups, changeovers, installations, fabrications, and complex long-term maintenance projects.
- Order required parts, use the computerized maintenance management system, and follow operating and safety procedures.
- Train Mechanic I and II employees and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework, certification, or technical school training preferred.
- At least four years of related technical or maintenance experience in a production environment.
- Proficient to extensive skills in mechanical maintenance, industrial electricity, fabrication, machining, and welding.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, including developing repair methods when procedures do not exist.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC and servo drives and motors, closed-loop control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, and lubrication systems.
- Fluent English required to understand complex maintenance manuals and safety procedures, communicate with supervisors, and maintain records.
