Senior Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Build and optimize high-performance microservices powering real-time customer communications, personalized promotions, and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Design scalable, event-driven systems that process large volumes of real-time data and support AI-enhanced Martech solutions.
• Define future architecture and balance modernization with operational improvements to existing systems.
• Lead projects, simplify platforms, resolve complex technical problems, and deliver secure, testable, maintainable code.
• Participate in design, scoping, prioritization, code reviews, on-call support, and operational troubleshooting.
• Coach and mentor software engineers while improving engineering practices and technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Senior-level backend software engineering experience with strong Java expertise.
• Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with event-streaming and messaging technologies such as SNS/SQS or Kafka.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, concurrency, data storage, and high-volume systems.
• Understanding of containers and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong testing practices, modern architecture and design patterns, Agile development, and equivalent practical experience or a relevant degree.
