Maintenance Superintendent (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Onsite in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, primarily from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; after-hours availability is required when maintenance needs arise.

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, and develop approximately 11 electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize preventive, reactive, shutdown, and minor project maintenance work.
• Coordinate work requests, field walk-downs, materials, contractors, technical guidance, and employee training.
• Monitor workloads, labor hours, overtime, timecards, maintenance records, costs, and budget performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and coordinate with Production to reduce delays related to permits and equipment availability.
• Provide hands-on support and leadership coverage during complex maintenance events, shutdowns, projects, and after-hours work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical college education strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance or related experience, including leadership or supervision of maintenance employees.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and broad knowledge of industrial maintenance, with hands-on troubleshooting capability.
• Experience in a union or collective bargaining environment is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems; SAP Plant Maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills, including the ability to support operations outside normal working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kronos, Microsoft Office, project management, Lean Six Sigma, or 5S.
