Director of Engineering (Infrastructure & Security)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work required

Salary: £160K–£220K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and security of the infrastructure running the platform.
• Lead Infrastructure, Security, IT, and TechOps as an integrated function.
• Scale and secure the Investigations AI product, including multi-agent analysis of logs, deployments, and historical incidents.
• Partner with Product Development and business functions on infrastructure, security, and operational needs.
• Coordinate response during outages and security incidents and unblock cross-functional execution.
• Build and shape a new engineering function, establishing mature practices without overengineering.

Requirements

• Background in infrastructure with a specialization in security.
• Experience scaling reliable systems and managing infrastructure cost and security.
• Experience building a team or function from scratch at a company of similar size.
• Experience working in a significantly larger organization and applying mature practices appropriately.
• Ability to work deeply with engineers on architecture and explain technical risks to non-technical executives.
• Strong systems thinking across infrastructure, security, and IT, with comfort owning ambiguity.
