Location: Based in Chișinău, Moldova, with regular field missions across the country, including the Transnistrian region. Six-month full-time assignment.

What you will do
- Strengthen Community Service Centres, Refugee Councils, and refugee-led organisations as they transition to local ownership.
- Plan and deliver training, mentoring, and technical guidance for community-based protection activities.
- Maintain effective protection referral pathways and prepare community structures to respond to sudden displacement and energy crises.
- Provide technical guidance to partners, including project design, implementation monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.
- Lead community-based protection, winterisation, and energy-emergency preparedness work in the Transnistrian region.
- Support peaceful coexistence initiatives and potential voluntary-return interventions across Moldova.
Requirements
- Six years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree, five years with a graduate degree, or four years with a doctorate.
- Relevant experience in community-based protection, community mobilisation, and community development with displaced and host communities.
- Fluent English and fluency in Russian and/or Ukrainian are required.
- Excellent drafting, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams and undertake regular field missions, including to the Transnistrian region.
- Knowledge of the Moldovan socio-political context is advantageous.

- Working knowledge of Romanian.
- Experience working in or knowledge of the Transnistrian region.
