Engineer I, PCB

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Create PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics designs.
• Plan PCB stack-ups and coordinate with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Translate schematics, routing rules, and design intent into manufacturable board designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on board form factors, connector placement, and integration constraints.
• Apply signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance control, thermal, and EMI mitigation practices.
• Conduct design reviews and generate manufacturing outputs, drawings, Gerber/ODB++ files, and fabrication and assembly documentation.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering.
• Direct PCB design experience from academic projects or professional work.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle, Washington.
• Ability to complete a cleared background check and possible reference check.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-7351, and related standards.
• Knowledge of PCB materials, manufacturing processes, and stack-up construction.
• Experience with controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and high-current power distribution.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation.
