Staff Engineer, PCB Design (R6075)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$230,000 per year, plus potential bonus, benefits, and equity.

What you will do

• Create PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics used in aircraft.
• Plan PCB stack-ups and coordinate fabrication requirements with vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Translate schematics, routing rules, and design intent into robust PCBA layouts.
• Coordinate mechanical integration, including board form factors, connector placement, and physical constraints.
• Apply signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance-control, thermal, and EMI mitigation practices.
• Conduct design reviews and produce manufacturing documentation, including Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication notes, assembly notes, and drawings.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in PCB layout for production hardware, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics layouts.
• Knowledge of PCB materials, manufacturing processes, stack-up construction, and supplier DFM requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas, Texas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-7351, and related standards.
• Experience with controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and high-current power distribution.
• Experience with scripting, automation, Altium Designer, and simulation tools for layout validation.
