TL;DR
Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer (Semiconductors): Managing environmental, health, fire, and occupational safety programs for semiconductor operations with an accent on regulatory compliance, hazard control, and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation. Focus on investigating incidents, assessing operational risks, coordinating contractor safety, and designing prevention and training programs across onsite operations.

What you will do

  • Own EHS compliance with hirify.global standards and Taiwan occupational safety, fire protection, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage occupational safety, fire protection programs, evacuation drills, regulatory reporting, and required certifications.
  • Assess hazards and environmental risks for construction, project transitions, and contractor activities.
  • Oversee critical safety programs covering hazardous energy, electrical safety, confined spaces, fall protection, radiation safety, and PPE.
  • Investigate incidents, conduct audits and gap analyses, track compliance metrics, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver EHS training and awareness campaigns while collaborating with regional EHS stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Fire Protection, or a related field.
  • Required Taiwan certifications for Fire Protection Management and Occupational Safety and Health Management Personnel.
  • Proven experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in IT, semiconductor, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Nice to have

  • Experience in project planning and EHS program implementation.
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with EHS business systems and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.
