Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (1-year contract)

What you will do

• Design, analyze, document, and test complex mechanical parts and assemblies for gaming products.
• Develop mechanical designs from product front end through launch and successful high-volume mass production.
• Partner with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, quality, cost, reliability, and functionality.
• Resolve mechanical engineering issues and apply scientific analysis tools to create robust designs.
• Collaborate with worldwide functions throughout product development.
• Launch and qualify plastic tooling, including design debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products.
• Knowledge of plastics, tooling, injection molding, assembly processes, cosmetic finishes, and defect analysis.
• Strong 3D modeling and prototyping skills.
• Advanced knowledge of DFMEA, DFMA, PSS, and tolerance analysis.
• Good command of English in writing and speaking, including the ability to prepare presentation files.
• Creative, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.

Nice to have

• CAE experience.
• Knowledge of metal punch tool structure and design.
