Location: Fully remote for candidates based in Spain, Poland, Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, or Slovenia. Permanent employment is available for candidates based in Spain; other locations are engaged through a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction across the AI-native platform.
• Define secure boundaries between AI reasoning, the MCP capability layer, the CipherScale Controller, and customer infrastructure.
• Develop MCP architecture covering tools, resources, applications, long-running tasks, discovery, authentication, authorization, schemas, and extensions.
• Design Zero Trust security capabilities including identity, access control, credential isolation, secrets management, auditability, and policy enforcement.
• Shape distributed SaaS and self-hosted architectures using Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, event-driven workflows, gateways, observability, and high availability.
• Prototype and validate representative AI-native infrastructure workflows with technical leadership and product engineers.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing complex distributed platforms, security products, cloud infrastructure, networking systems, or developer platforms.
• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud architecture, Zero Trust, identity and authorization, API and protocol design, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI systems and MCP or comparable agent and tool protocols.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native systems, networking, event-driven architecture, observability, and key management.
• Strong software engineering skills with the ability to prototype and validate architectural decisions.
• Ability to reason about trust boundaries, failure modes, scaling, operability, security abuse cases, and product trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Admin systems, external AI clients, enterprise integrations, and machine-to-machine interactions.
• Familiarity with evolving MCP specifications, SDKs, security guidance, and ecosystem standards.
