Java Technical Lead (Java/Angular)

Location: New York City, New York, United States, or Montreal, Canada

Base compensation: $100,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex full-stack software products from inception through deployment.
• Manage timelines, scope, budgets, resource allocation, dependencies, and delivery risks.
• Lead Agile practices, including Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and removal of team blockers.
• Ensure code quality and architectural alignment across Java and Angular solutions.
• Lead and mentor full-stack developers, QA engineers, and technical leads.
• Provide stakeholder reporting, governance, delivery metrics, performance evaluation, and hiring support.

Requirements

• 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in delivery or project management.
• Deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive design skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification.
