Lead Data Engineer - Delivery Lead (Azure/Databricks)

Salary: $134,316–$177,320 base compensation, with potential additional variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead multi-wave migration of Teradata workloads across gaming, loyalty, property operations, digital, food and beverage, entertainment, and enterprise analytics domains.
• Establish delivery governance, including RAID management, executive reporting, dependency tracking, risk management, and operational readiness checkpoints.
• Coordinate hirify.global delivery teams, client stakeholders, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and other technology partners.
• Guide migration alignment with Azure data architecture, Azure Data Lake Storage, curated data zones, secure data sharing, and business-ready consumption layers.
• Oversee Databricks pipelines, Delta Lake patterns, medallion architecture, data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and production readiness.
• Manage resource planning, financial governance, scope, milestones, quality, release readiness, and operational transition.

Requirements

• Experience leading or managing large Teradata modernization, migration, or decommissioning programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services, Azure Data Lake Storage, cloud data patterns, orchestration, and enterprise-scale migration.
• Practical understanding of Azure Databricks, Spark-based engineering, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, and scalable data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data profiling, mapping, reconciliation, transformation logic review, and issue resolution.
• Experience leading complex, multi-workstream programs with onshore/offshore teams and senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, delivery discipline, consulting mindset, and ability to work across gaming, hospitality, entertainment, digital, and enterprise analytics domains.
