Platform Engineer (AWS): Designing and operating a secure, scalable AWS Analytics Platform that enables engineering teams to deliver data products and business-critical services with an accent on infrastructure automation, reliability, and security. Focus on building reusable platform capabilities, improving developer experience, and solving complex cloud, networking, observability, and incident-response challenges.

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in the Nottingham office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Design and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build reusable platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to self-serve cloud infrastructure and services.
• Improve platform reliability, resilience, scalability, performance, and developer experience.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, operational processes, and CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across multi-account AWS environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues while supporting incident response and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and operating production AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient environments with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, reusable infrastructure modules, and operational tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, observability, and production support skills.
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and hybrid networking concepts.
• Experience applying IAM, secrets management, encryption, network security, AWS Well-Architected, governance, and compliance practices.
