Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work is required, with work from home available on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration on Tuesday–Thursday.

What you will do

• Build, configure, and maintain multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Operate Kubernetes, GitOps, and observability tooling in production.
• Investigate platform issues, participate in incident response, and implement post-incident improvements.
• Support progressive rollouts, canary deployments, safe rollbacks, CI/CD, and developer tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams on infrastructure, database, deployment, and self-service platform improvements.
• Apply security practices including policy-as-code, OIDC-based cloud access, secret scanning, and pre-merge controls.

Requirements

• Practical experience deploying and supporting applications running on Kubernetes.
• Experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS, and infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
• Experience with modern CI/CD tooling and production troubleshooting.
• Scripting experience in at least one of TypeScript/Node, Python, or Go.
• Good understanding of Linux, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Ability to work in the London hybrid setup and participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terragrunt, Helm, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Flux.
• Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Background in developer experience, internal platforms, security tooling, or policy-as-code.
