Technical Product Owner/Business Analyst (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Translate roadmaps, stakeholder requests, and discovery findings into user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and implementation-ready requirements.
• Maintain a well-groomed product backlog, prepare stories for sprint planning, and track dependencies, risks, decisions, and requirement changes.
• Define reporting and analytics behavior, including data definitions, calculations, filtering, grouping, validation rules, exports, drill-through flows, and user-interface requirements.
• Maintain data dictionaries, mapping tables, glossaries, lineage documentation, and transformation specifications.
• Use SQL to inspect data, validate assumptions, investigate requirements, and support QA and user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, QA, Design, Support, Implementation, Commercial, and business stakeholders to support delivery and release readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, technical business analysis, data analysis, reporting, or a related product delivery role.
• Ability to translate business needs into precise technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and implementation-ready specifications.
• Strong reporting, analytics, relational database, data warehouse, data mart, and ETL/ELT knowledge.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, and ORDER BY, with the ability to independently validate data and requirements.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, stakeholder management, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare workflows, healthcare technology, EHR environments, HIPAA, or HITECH experience.
• Experience with lakehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, medallion architectures, and Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Looker, or embedded analytics.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, X12, or similar healthcare data standards.
• Experience using AI tools responsibly with appropriate human oversight.
