Senior Business Analyst (AI Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the continental United States; U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document clinical, business, functional, and technical requirements for AI-driven patient health data summarization.
• Analyze C-CDA clinical documents and map clinical information to healthcare interoperability standards and terminology.
• Maintain requirements, data mapping, and traceability matrices while evaluating data quality, completeness, and normalization.
• Define validation criteria and risk mitigation strategies for AI-generated clinical summaries in collaboration with clinicians, data scientists, engineers, and architects.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, communicate recommendations, and support collaboration across clinical, government, business, and technical teams.
• Partner with QA and development teams on test scenarios, User Acceptance Testing, defect triage, and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare informatics, health information management, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting healthcare IT systems.
• Experience with clinical data, C-CDA, HL7, USCDI, healthcare data exchange, and complex clinical document structures.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, functional specifications, and requirements traceability.
• Ability to analyze healthcare data quality and communicate complex clinical and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary software development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with VA, DoD, federal healthcare programs, JLV, or similar clinical viewing platforms.
• Knowledge of FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks, clinical decision support, SNOMED CT, LOINC, and RxNorm.
• Experience with AI or machine learning-enabled healthcare solutions, responsible AI, data governance, SQL, Azure DevOps, Jira, or requirements management tools.
